5R-2-HCA
MG 5R2-HCA is an effective nodulizer that contains a higher level of
calcium than most MG 5R2 alloys. The higher level of calcium is effective
in reducing the pyrotechnics of the nodulizing treatment. Magnesium recoveries
in the treated ductile iron are generally higher than for the more common
0.8 to 1.2% Ca alloys due to the reduced volatility of the MG 5R2-HCA
alloy.
